still so much to learn
every moment is a learning opportunity
one of my guiding principles recently has been the notion that things happen for a reason — and i’m capable of handling whatever comes my way, whether it’s ideal or otherwise. while i’m grateful for what i’ve learned, i also continue to remind myself that there is still so much i’ve yet to experience, and so much i still have to learn.
winter is in full swing in february, so i find solace in music with calm, comforting, and approachable sound to mimic my proclivity for staying in doors and enjoying solitary moments. yet, like uncovering a fossil or discovering a new emotion, i often also gravitate towards music with edge, a brashness, and intrigue,
time spent alone is sometimes the best avenue for self-discovery. the juxtaposition of these two aesthetics produces quite an array of genres, but they all encompass the central theme for this month. i’m grateful for each moment i have to learn and grow, and sometimes i almost forget that it’s all for fun :)
