think about all the music you’ve heard in your life…
the song that was playing when you had your first serious break-up. singing songs with your friends in a car on a road trip. that scene in a movie that speaks volumes to your soul — these are crucial experiences that are forever embedded in our memory. this podcast aims to bring some music into your life to help create your own life soundtrack and expand your music taste.

music has always been a language with which i’ve communicated — from an early age listening to music on my mom’s yellow Sony CD player, to getting my first ipod, seeing my first concert, or performing in one, there hasn’t been a time in my life where music wasn’t at the core of my daily rhythm and rituals.
i was lucky enough to have an orchestra program in my school district, and i grew up playing the cello. after performing in various ensembles throughout high school, i went on to study music education at the Indiana University Jacobs School of Music. i love teaching children perseverance and confidence through music. my students know me as “Ms. Sus” and, whether or not they continue to pursue string playing in their life, they leave my class with a higher sense of confidence and appreciation for music.
more than anything i love to share music with others. i hope i can to introduce you to new music, or share something new about music with you. it is vast, complex, and baked into all cultures.
